The production of PVC wallpaper in Japan is about 600 million m² per year (approximately 180,000 tons), with about 70% of its use being for replacement. This results in approximately 100,000 tons of waste being discarded each year, much of which is incinerated or landfilled. To change this situation, our company has been actively promoting eco-friendly products in Japan. Additionally, for maintenance, we use "Dubron," a 100% natural, lime-based water-repellent paint from our line of Ribos natural health paints. Since natural chalk is the main component, it has high breathability, and the finish creates a high-quality space that feels just like plaster. It can be repainted more than 10 times without the need for replacement, thus generating no waste.
